   The museum has been established under the Laboratory of Soil Genesis, Geography and Cartography of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

   It has a rich exhibit base covering various soil and climatic zones of Azerbaijan, based on a collection of more than 50 soil cover samples. Soil and bedrock samples, soil monoliths, maps, and unique materials collected during the institute's activities are exhibited here.

   Currently, the museum is undergoing renovations, improving its exhibits, updating presentation formats, and creating a more accessible and interactive environment for visitors.
