The "Open Door" days organized within the framework of the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences continue at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The main goal of organizing "Open Door" days is to increase the scientific potential of young people, promote science, and support the preparation of educated, qualified personnel for the future.
The next "Open Door" day was attended by first-year master's students of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction majoring in "Ecological Engineering".Young researchers got to know the Institute's "Soil Museum" closely.
Head of the Education Department of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, Doctor of Philosophy in Geography - Farrukh Khalilov, provided students with extensive information about various soil types - mountain-meadow-forest soils, primitive mountain-meadow sandy-grass soils, and other soil types. The scientist was also provided with detailed information about the scientific achievements of the Institute, the activities of prominent scientists working here, as well as the importance of soil science for the country.
Numerous questions from the graduate students were answered, and they were given guiding recommendations for their future scientific activities.
It should be noted that, the "Open Door" days held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry serve to familiarize young people with the scientific environment, increase their interest in scientific research, and shape the scientists of the future.
