An "Open Door" museum day was held at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry.

   An "Open Door" museum day was organized at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan as part of the 80th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The main goal of the open days is to familiarize young people with the development directions of soil science and agrochemistry, as well as the stages of the scientific research process. Third and fourth year students of the "Architecture" faculty of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction took an excursion to the Institute's Soil Museum. Here, they got acquainted with various soil samples, maps, and models of Kahriz.    Here they were introduced to various soil samples, maps, and models of Kahriz. Director General of the Institute, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev met with the young people and provided detailed information about the history and activities of the scientific İnstitution. Professor Alovsat Guliyev also shared interesting facts with the young people about the soil monoliths, Kahriz models, and soil maps exhibited at the Soil Museum.

   Later, Executive Director of the Institute, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology - Gulchohra Huseynova noted that, the main goal of creating the Soil Museum is to collect, preserve and display soil and bedrock samples, soil monoliths, and maps.

   He presented the students with rare mineral and rock samples from the museum and provided extensive information about their scientific and practical significance.

   Gulchohra Huseynova emphasized that, Azerbaijan's soil is distinguished not only by its productivity, but also by its mineral wealth. The "Open Door" Day aroused great interest among the participants and further increased their enthusiasm for science.
